Automotive Quality Engineer

Livonia Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs  is working with a Tier One supplier to the automotive industry. Our client is a stamped metal and assembly supplier.  Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Quality Engineer.

What you will do: The Quality Engineer develops PPAP for new launch phases including managing program timing with suppliers to meet goals and deadlines and helping suppliers develop their process through the development phase of a program. This role facilitates technical reviews with potential suppliers to establish risk and feasibility and defines risk suppliers, while also performing risk assessments at suppliers. The position performs regular continuous improvement reviews and supplier audits and champions 8D, 5S, and other quality systems. Additionally, the Quality Engineer manages both supplier complaints and deviations during program phase, while ensuring implementation of error proofing solutions in the supplier’s processes.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in quality engineering in the automotive Industry. Current experience in GD&T, PPAP, and General Motors SQMS/GQTS systems.
