Automotive Quality Engineer

Detroit, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a world-class manufacturer of instruments for vehicles, agricultural, and construction equipment. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Quality Engineer.

What you will do: The Quality Engineer provides technical quality assurance support to the Quality Engineering and Manufacturing functions in an automotive production line. The role is responsible for management of the Quality Lab by establishing procedures and set up and calibration of all gages, while also providing support to supplier activities during S1 and S2 as well as management support of the quality supervisors on the floor for both shifts. The position is responsible for the customer interaction, collects and reports torque data, and maintains product measurement and complaint investigations. Additionally, the Quality Engineer provides training, advice and guidance to others, support suppliers controls activities, and provides direction for production supervisor and control floor processes and changes.

What you will need: 4 year college degree. Current experience in quality within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of automotive core tools. Experience with the calibration of measurement instruments.
