Automotive Quality Engineer

Birmingham, Alabama – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Quality Engineer, southwest of Birmingham.

What you will do: The Quality Engineer is responsible for customer interfacing on quality issues, supplier interfacing on quality issues including APQP and PPAP, and sample submissions for new product and engineering changes. The role is tasked with maintaining controls plans including PFMEAs inspection and gage instructions and maintains APQP documentation for all assigned programs. The position develops, implements, and maintains data collection and metric systems to ensure the effectiveness of the quality systems.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree or ASQ Quality Engineer Certification. TSI Certification is preferred. Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment. Experience in a supplier and customer relation quality engineering role. Experience with APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, FMEAs. Ability to travel up to 35%.
