Birmingham, Alabama – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Production Manager, southwest of Birmingham.
What you will do: The Production Manager is responsible for preparing and maintaining production management P-09 documentation, internal production indicators, and structured activities including training and visual management. The role helps to maintain a safe and efficient production floor, a quality-driven production team, and adheres to QS-9000 and ISO 14001 standards. The position directs and coordinates production processes with shift supervisors, plans and executes production action plans, and controls and maintains the department multitasking matrix. Additionally, the Production Manager works with the Engineering Department to develop work instructions and detailed process descriptions, performs safety and daily process audits, manages and reduces scrap, and controls manpower requirements based on customer demand through the MRP system.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or Manufacturing and experience in a manufacturing environment. SAP Knowledge a Plus. Lean and 5S experience is a plus.
