Automotive Plant Controls Engineer

Detroit, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   is working with an automotive electronics supplier to fill their newly created Controls Engineer role.

What you will do:  The role participates in developing tooling standards and verification that sourced tooling meets established standards, leads new program capital expenditures, and is responsible for the specification, robustness, procurement and installation of metallizing, coating and assembly equipment. The position communicates with program teams as it relates to new program awards and status for systems pertaining to new launches, supports advanced activity initiatives to further develop customer relationships and seek new business, and supports operations on troubleshooting complex issues in assembly. Additionally, the Controls Engineer participates in corrective actions for customer complaints and supervises project team, internal and external contractors.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in controls engineering. Lean manufacturing knowledge. Experience with PLCs. Understanding of HMI programming. JIT Experience. Robotics Experience. Ability to write PLC’s from scratch.
