Warren, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a tier-one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Moldflow Engineer.
What you will do: The Moldflow Engineer is responsible for coordinating and completing Moldflow analysis. The role utilizes software packages such as Moldflow and Cimatron as a daily function in the design lab, studies supplied customer mold specifications, engineering data, and plastic resin specifications, and develops a material delivery and gating strategy. The position applies customer supplied data and engineering specifications to develop tool configurations, manages the Mold Flow process to ensure proper fill patterns, pressures, bore sizes and manifold layouts providing optimum process control, and interfaces with the customers to review gating concerns or process related feasibility issues. Additionally, the Moldflow Engineer provides technical support for injection mold tooling and process validations, interprets analytical data pertaining to Moldflow results and communicates findings and recommendations to influence tool and part design/parameters.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience with Moldflow analysis. Computational fluid dynamics experience. Strong background in injection molding.
