Automotive Manufacturing Engineer

Houston, Texas – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a 100 year old world leader witha  growing automotive division.   Due to their continued growth and increase in market share, they have a newly created position for a Manufacturing Engineer.

What you will do: The Manufacturing Engineer provides manufacturing support, coordinates internal and external resources for the implementation of capital projects, model changes and other improvements, and coordinates with support departments to ensure effective launch of projects. The role self-manages to complete tasks on time, is responsible for the overall management of projects, and implements process changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The position supports/resolves any process, equipment or tooling related issues, develops business plans and strategies, reviews/maintains/updates bill of material (BOMs), and supports manufacturing capital project planning. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer evaluates safety procedures and reduces safety hazards throughout the facility, participates in new product/process developments, and supports QC group in review and development of manufacturing methods and quality standards.

What you need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Engineering experience in a Tier 1 automotive environment. Project management experience with capability to develop, lead and prioritize work. ISO TS 16949, APQP and Core Tools experience. Lean manufacturing experience.
