Automotive Industrial Engineer

Warren, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a leading tier one supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an Industrial Engineer.

What you will do: The Industrial Engineer will have a focus on the industrial engineering and will plan/prepares production schedules working directly with the customer team for all products throughout their life cycle.   This role plans the sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and manufacturing operations with an eye on plant capacity and performs calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements. Process planning and procurement of assembly equipment (write equipment specification, obtain quotations, follow-up with suppliers, release and buy off of the assembly equipment at the supplier, install and set up assembly equipment at manufacturing plant. This position establishes process flow, manufacturing layout, P-FMEA and assembly concept in cooperation with the manufacturing plant and central production planning.

What you will need:  Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Current automotive experience.  Current experience in a production planning or industrial engineering role. Ability to travel up to 30%.
