Our 50-year-old client is stable, growing and paid out their bonuses above 100% for the last 4 years and look to continue with strong growth. Because of this, they have a newly created position for a Product Engineer – Exteriors.
What you will do: The Systems Engineer – Exteriors is responsible for the design and development of new and current products, obtaining, analyzing and cascading customer engineering requirements, and for the development and maintenance of DFMEA. The role ensures system designs comply with all established foundation documents, coordinates development of the system level DVP&R, and supports all product prototypes build activities. The position supports program management with technical discussion in customer meetings, reviews and participates in product design reviews, and develops corrective actions to new and current products. Additionally, the Systems Engineer – Exteriors supports process engineering and quality, participates in regularly scheduled team meetings, and completes all system engineering deliverables in support of the DURA APQP system.
What you need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Experience in automotive exterior trim engineering. Strong skills in engineering of plastic injection molded parts. Knowledge of plastic exterior trim design requirements and manufacturing processes. Experience with analytical methods of design such as DFSS.
