Automotive Environmental Engineer

Morehead, Kentucky – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with one of the world’s leading manufacturers in automotive, commercial truck and consumer goods industries. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for an Environmental Engineer.

What you will do: The Environmental Engineer is responsible for providing hands-on support to the plants compliance with environmental standards. The role complies with HazMat, RCRA, and DOT regulations with regard to paint sludge and waste handling procedures, ensures proper handling, labeling, disposal and storage of waste drums, and complies with all required safety regulations including confined space entry, lock-out, tag-out, and PPE. The position maintains safety and 5-S housekeeping standards of work area, has responsibility/authority to ensure quality products and service to customers, and supports/participates in the company’s Quality Plan. Additionally, the Environmental Engineer initiates action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities in products, processes, and/or quality systems, identifies/records any problems in products, processes, and/or quality systems, and verifies the implementation of solutions to ensure successful resolutions.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in an environmental field. Current experience in environmental engineering. Knowledge of ISO 14001/auditing experience. General understanding of coating operations and environmental controls is preferred but not required.
