Automotive Customer Quality Engineer

Phoenix, Arizona – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a large supplier in the automotive tier-one space. Due to their growth, they have several newly created positions for a Customer Quality Engineer.

What you will do: The Customer Quality Engineer leads customer response system, directs customer interface for all quality customer plant performance concerns, and ensures that all concerns are properly directed to appropriate personnel expeditiously. The role continuously improves the customer concern response system for continued customer satisfaction improvement, facilitates/coordinates data and product analysis with Business Teams for determination of failure modes, and coordinates with/mentors Business Teams to determine proper containment activities at customer, product in transit, product in inventory and containment of ongoing production. The position coordinates supplier response with Supplier Quality Engineering on customer concerns, provides correspondence and reports to the customer for updates and closure to quality concerns. Additionally, the Customer Quality Engineer contributes in/leads special projects and participates in audits and support external organizations and activities such as TS16949.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in a customer facing quality role within a high volume manufacturer. Experience with FMEA, DOE and 8D analysis. Complete understanding of automotive requirements (AIAG and customer specific), process control methodology, customer concern systems/expectations and the 8D 5-why process. Direct customer/supplier interface experience.
