Hopkinsville, KY – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they have opened a position for an Assistant Materials Manager.
What you will do: The Assistant Materials Manager helps to ensure full customer satisfaction and on-time delivery in the most cost-effective manner possible. The position assists the Material Manager with strategic planning, coordination of departmental resources, and defining job descriptions and training plans for Human Resources purposes. The role establishes, implements, and operates the purchasing system, tracks supplier quality, and supervises materials requirement planning. Additionally, the Assistant Materials Manager is responsible for tracking the key metrics within the Quality Operating System (QOS) including purchase price variance, materials usage variance, days of stock, supplier quality, and delivery performance.
What you will need: Current experience in Materials Management within an automotive manufacturing environment.
