Automated Driving Development & Test Engineer

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with an international manufacturer with a million square foot facility. Due to the current growth within the company, they have opened a position for a Vehicle Development & Test Engineer.

What you will do: The Vehicle Development & Test Engineer is responsible for the development and verification testing of automated driving systems for the North American market. The role supports the defined project in all aspects of planning, preparation and performance verification and vehicle level testing against defined requirements. The position installs sensors and vehicle data acquisition equipment in test vehicles per defined drawings/schematics, conducts vehicle level system testing/data collection, and performs vehicle level mechanical, electrical, and software troubleshooting, while also providing written summaries and test reports. Additionally, the Vehicle Development & Test Engineer supports the vehicle data analysis, post processing, compiling and analysis of test results, ECU flash needs, test trips and customer release/demo drives.

What you will need: Bachelors degree in Engineering. Current experience in automotive engineering. Basic automotive mechatronic knowledge. Vehicle and/or component level test experience with mechatronic systems. Knowledge of vehicle data acquisition systems. Knowledge of vehicle communication systems (CAN, Vector products). Knowledge of software tools (Evaluation of Scripts, Matlab, LVDS, Python).
