Industrial Engineer

Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a national supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for an Industrial Engineer.

What you will do: The Industrial Engineer supports/leads development of specifications for manufacturing solutions, processes or equipment, supports the validation of equipment design and construction compliancy, and provides manufacturing technical expertise and input to review new product program opportunities. The position assists/supports continuous improvement events, assist Product Engineering personnel in evaluating new product designs for manufacturability, and helps plan/coordinate the appropriate use of tools such as FEA & CFD simulation. The role work with Product Engineering to develop and perform the necessary testing of new product designs, performs required R&D to develop and understand viable manufacturing solutions, and utilizes documented best practices and lessons learned. Additionally, the Industrial Engineer continues her/his education as required to research and understand industry advances.

What you will need: Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Current experience within manufacturing. Experience in plastics processing industry. Experience in lean manufacturing. Experience with PFMEA, Process Flow, and GD&T. Large part blow molding industry experience, preferred. Machine design and/or process engineering support within other high volume manufacturing industries. High volume packaging experience would be an asset. Product design experience would be an asset. Fluent in Spanish or French, preferred but, not necessary.
