Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a leading supplier of automotive electronics to highlight canddiates for their newly opened Product Engineering Manager role.
What you will do: The Product Engineering Manager leads an engineering team responsible for developing and launching automotive exterior lighting products. The role coordinates communication between all global engineering centers, directs multiple engineering and design teams in reviewing customer specifications and develops products that meet customer expectations. The position ensures validation timelines are met and products meet certification requirements and develops product design corrections when necessary to address validation concerns. Additionally, the Product Engineering Manager increases engineering technology development efficiency and decreases design cycle times specifically in the areas of optical, thermal, mechanical, electronics, reliability, and cost.
What you will need: BS in Engineering. Current experience in automotive lighting. Experience in injection molding process. Knowledge in electronic board development, LEDs, lighting, and plastic assembly techniques. Knowledge of government regulation for lighting considered a plus.
