Farmington Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a global Tier One supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for an Attorney.
What you will do: The Attorney provides advice and training, in coordination with the general counsel in contracts law, intellectual property, anti-trust, competition, regulatory compliance, and assisting with policy and procedure development. The role assists in preparing budget information, reports and attending meetings and manages compliance associated with international trade activities including ensuring proper import compliance and export controls. The position works on labor and employment law issues, regulatory compliance (OSHA, workers’ Compensation, and ERISA), employment policy and procedure development, while also counseling relating to hiring, terminating, discipline, discrimination, retaliation and employment agreements.
What you will need: Law Degree from an ABA accredited law school and admitted to practice in a good standing in Michigan. Experience with a reputable law firm or as an in-house counsel. Experience with reviewing, drafting and analyzing commercial agreements, including, supplier agreements, non-disclosure and similar transactional documents. Experience working for an automotive or manufacturing company highly desired. Ability to travel up to 15%.
