Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a tier-one supplier, supporting Toyota. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an Application Engineer.
What you will do: The Application Engineer delivers application engineering requirements for customer release, while reviewing customer requirements/specifications and initiate/conduct feasibility studies. Moreover, this role performs engineering calculations for joint sizing and makes proposals on the joint type, while also validating and approving the product performance at each stage of development in accordance with global applications. Furthermore, this post not only supports creation of the NBA product proposal and other documentation and manages all relevant application engineering tasks/activities in accordance with the customer APQP, but also prepares the product design package for initial review and drawing creation. Additional responsibilities include authorizing the release of the pre-production parts list and structures on the business’ system for local customer release launch, leading internal design reviews and the assembly drawing approval for the local customer and initiating prototype requests and associated documents release.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with current knowledge of heat treat processes/material heat treatment attributes, statistical methods and analytic techniques, subjective and objective vehicle appraisal techniques and driveline standards, and product design management. Experience working with Toyota.
