Ann Arbor, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a 100 year old company with a large footprint in the automotive tier-one space. Due to their growth, they have several newly created positions for an Applications Engineer.
What you will do: The Applications Engineer provides company with a source for engineering and technical authority on selection, application, use and performance of our products. The role acts in conjunction with sales and customer personnel, contacts smaller size customers to ascertain technical and service requirements, and is responsible for maintenance of current business within engineering expertise. The position analyzes customer applications, investigates performance issues to recommend solutions that maximize value for the customer, and consults with other application engineers, team leaders and managers in the development and review of proposed technical solutions. Additionally, the Applications Engineer visits customers together with sales to gather information and present solutions, communicates customer requirements to design and plant personnel as part of new product quotation and production startup processes, and provides training on the features, benefits, application, and use of products to team members and customers.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree (Mechanical Engineer preferred). Current experience in applications engineering. Experience in tier-one. Steel industry experience.
