Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a growing Tier One automotive supplier. Due to the company’s recent growth, they have newly opened position for a Applications Engineer – Steering.
What you will do: The Applications Engineer – Steering is responsible for application development of EPS steering gears based on the standards and for packaging studies with customers. The role manages prototyping activities, manages bill of materials, procurement of parts in cooperating purchasing, prototype build up and vehicle integration, and supports all local engineering activities. The role is responsible for requirement analysis and concept development for acquisition projects, while also supporting continuous product optimization.
What you will need: Bachelor in mechanical engineering or mechatronics. Engineering and customer interface experience in automotive industry. Current or previous experience with steering systems. Project management experience. Excellent technical knowledge about safety critical automotive mechatronic systems. Experience in automotive toolchain for mechatronic components is an added plus (e.g. CAD software, Door).
