Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a world leader in the automotive industry. Our 100 year old publicly traded client has engaged our services to help identify an Applications Engineer – Mechatronics for their growing business.
What you will do: The Applications Engineer collects information for fields, customers and users, while also planning/designing auto parts and improving application design for high quality low cost products. The position evaluates prototypes for redesigns for improvement, confers with customers, vendors and suppliers to determine product specifications and evaluates the prototypes according to product specifications and quality standards. Additionally, the role confers with manufacturing, engineering, quality, production planning and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production scheduling to facilitate production processes, while also participating in meetings, seminars, workshops and training to stay apprised of new developments in the field.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. CDL is preferred, or will be required to obtain a CDL. Knowledge of data acquisition systems and data analysis. Knowledge of mechatronic systems. Familiarity with commercial truck market. Product release process knowledge a plus. Knowledge of driver assistance products: adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation systems, lane departure warning, blind spot, etc.
