Rochester Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a leading opto-electronics group that supplies to a variety of industrial and civil industries. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for an Applications Laser Engineer – Robotics
What you will do: The Applications Laser Engineer – Robotics develops laser cutting application parameters in application center and/or on customer’s site, develops industrial 6 axis robotic path programming techniques for optimizing quality, and works with offline simulation programming and macro development. The role works as a team member with machine design group to make a user friendly/robust product, performs product demonstrations by processing customer’s parts in application center, and works onsite at customer’s facility to support installations and startup. The position develops programming documents/user documents, performs customer training, provides trouble shooting support for service team, and acts as the primary technical interface to sales team and customers. Additionally, the Applications Laser Engineer – Robotics works with international teams to create best-in-class solution based results and is a key team member that participates in new product development and product launches.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering. Current experience in laser engineering. Experience with robotics. Hands-on expertise in the field of multi kilowatt metal laser cutting applications. Advanced programming skills of 6 axis robotic is preferred, but 5 axis gantry would be considered. Experience converting theoretical principles into robust manufacturing systems. German language ability is highly desirable.
