Applications Engineer-Heat Shields

Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search and Delivery    www.movementsearch.com     is working with a growing Tier One supplier to the automotive industry. This location is going through some amazing transition and growth which has opened a position for an Applications Engineer.

What you will do: The Applications Engineer utilizes structural and thermal finite element analysis, reviews drawings with good understanding of datum scheme and GD&T, and develops product tolerance and analyze tolerance stack. The role reviews DFMEA’s and DVPR’s, tracks and reports design and development activity, and supports prototype activity with product definition and problem-solving as well as quality planning and feasibility forms for new parts. The position coordinates specifications between the customer and the group internally, maintains concise records and reports for development projects, and assists in preparing and giving presentations. Additionally, the Applications Engineer submits a timely and accurate monthly report to the Engineering Manager.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Applications engineering experience in the automotive industry. Knowledge and expertise in heat shield design and development as well as relevant structural and thermal finite element analysis experience. Experience with CAD design layout.
