What you will do: The Applications Engineer is responsible for module level requirements development/management through a solid understanding of customer high-level requirements. The role interfaces with customers on brainstorming/joint-design and definition of functions and is responsible for prototype/marketing sample development and delivery. The position attends trade shows and client reviews for product demonstration and interfaces with platform development team in Germany/India on technical, functional, performance, features/characteristics of platform VCU. Additionally, the Applications Engineer manages/attends/conducts customer interaction/meetings to understand their requirements.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Experience in developing/managing electronics function requirements from customer high-level requirements. Experience in developing automotive electronics and delivering to the market. Experience in interfacing with OEM’s, preferably in the advanced development stage. Experience in a development, application, or product engineering with a focus on new product development for either the automotive, consumer electronics, or connectivity products. Knowledge of software technologies, platforms and ecosystems, including Linux, Apple iOS, Google Android, QNX, wireless networking products and technologies. Ability to travel.
