Troy, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a leading IT developer to highlight an Applications Development Manager for their newly created role.
What you will do: The Applications Development Manager manages teams responsible for developing and maintaining in-house web applications, database back-ends, custom reports, enterprise data warehouse, and 3rd-party solutions. The role collaborates with executive management to drive business solutions, works with the IT Director and other IT Managers to provide effective solutions to business issues, and acts as a liaison between the teams and the various business’ leaders. The position gathers and compiles requirements for the developers, leads, mentors, and develops direct reports and the growth of their careers, and stays up-to-date with technology trends, and researches those that can be useful to the business. Additionally, the Applications Development Manager creates, publishes and maintains up to date and accurate documentation and diagrams and communicates status of issues with responsible parties.
What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems. Experience in managing a development team. Knowledge of the SDLC and development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall. Moderate hands-on experience with web and database development.
