Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearrch.com/jobs is working with a world leader in the automotive OEM space. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an Aluminum Extrusion Engineer.
What you will do: The Aluminum Extrusion Engineer supports and trains respective staff, supports global projects, and plans/supports the implementation of processes for technologies within the field of expertise. The role supports/advises product developments from a technical perspective, monitors technical trends and analyzes consequential possible improvement measures for existing processes and procedures, while also arranging respective changes after consultation. The position ensures the communication and exchange of information on standards and designs tools and equipment for production lines based on extruded aluminum profiles. Additionally, the Aluminum Extrusion Engineer reads 2D and 3D prints for dies, fixtures, equipment, gages, etc, participates in process and calculation work, cooperates with the project development team, and is responsible for trimming of tools and equipment.
What you will need: Current experience in extrusion engineering. CAD and or tool making experience. Experience with aluminum.
