Aftermarket Director

Novi, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international tier-one automotive supplier and due to their most recent growth, they have opened a position for an Aftermarket Director.

What you will do: The Aftermarket Director is responsible for identifying and driving new customer growth in both revenue and margin improvement, for cultivating customer relationships to assess and identify new business opportunities, and for developing the strategic approach to the market and the foundational steps to achieve. The role develops marketing plans to support sales and strategy initiatives/goals, executes business development plans that result in near and long term revenue growth for the company with emphasis on gross margin, EBITDA and inventory levels where applicable, and builds, develops, and manages a team capable of carrying out day-to-day aftermarket activities in support of the growth expectations. The position monitors key factors (costs, operations and forecasting) and business conditions, develops business processes to support business growth and KPI initiatives, and develops NAFTA Aftermarket Strategy and ability to gain local/global support for approach. Additionally, the Aftermarket Director drives alignment with the global aftermarket team, learns/enhances a company’s strengths and capabilities, and meets or exceeds established sales goals.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree. Expertise in the Automotive Aftermarket (PC and HD/CV). Experience in business development, sales, or other customer facing role. Solid knowledge base of respective car/truck parc required for product range development. Knowledge of aftermarket filtration, particularly HD/CV would be a plus. Experience in a customer facing role with an emphasis on leading sales development.
