Novi, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, the company has a newly created position for an Advanced Supply Chain Lead.
What you will do: The Advanced Supply Chain Lead represents Supply Chain Management for potential and new business in the Program Team activities, acts as a single point representative of contact for SCM, and is accountable for meeting target cost for new programs. The role is responsible for target costing for new projects, drives concurrent engineering activities and early prototype supplier involvement, and coordinates technical reviews (with Supplier Development, Commodity Buyer, Eng, & Mfg). The position works with Commodity Buyer (CB) for estimates/RFQ/source recommendation form, obtains consensus with program team on source selections, and coordinates all Change Management requirements affecting suppliers. Additionally, the Advanced Supply Chain Lead captures SCM lessons learned and provides them to program team.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Experience in Supply Chain Management. Experience working for an automotive supplier. Experience with an ERP system. Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability. Knowledge of engineering fundaments, mechanical systems, automotive systems, and exhaust systems.
