Advanced Quality Engineer – Tier One Automotive

Troy, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com   is working with a world leading supplier of innovative parts and systems to the global automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for an Advanced Quality Engineer.

What you will do: The Advanced Quality Engineer incorporates customer requirements into program AQP plan, develops a program specific quality plan on each new program, and develops PDP (Quality) deliverables as associated with the PDP (product development process) process. The role reports all advance quality planning activities to customer periodically through APQP meetings, analyzes product quality problems and proposes solutions, and develops/maintains statistics (X-Bar & R, Sigma, Pp/Ppk, Cp/Cpk, Gage R&R, etc) on all significant part and process characteristics. The position provides quality requirements for seat complete system, develops prototype control plan and collects/analyzes pilot build data. Additionally, the Advanced Quality Engineer prepares pre-production sample report, submits to customer upon request, provides quality/warranty concerns to team by reviewing lessons learned, warranty performance, and ensures additions to the DFMEA, and conducts surrogate process capability studies to support product dimensional capability.

What you will need: Bachelor degree in Engineering. Current experience in advanced quality engineering. Knowledge of statistics and production quality systems. Working knowledge of seating systems.
