Advanced Quality Engineer - Seating Systems

Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a large manufacturer of automotive components to highlights candidates to fill their newly opened Advanced Quality Engineer role.

What you will do: The Advanced Quality Engineer develops the prototype, pre-production and production control plans for the program, develops the Measurement System Analysis Plan for the program, and is responsible for completion of inspection reports for components that are used for pre-production product builds. The role performs capability studies, documents the results for all program special characteristics, and is responsible for color/appearance approval from pre-grain to PPAP, including proper Customer submission paperwork. The position coordinates the preparation and on-time delivery of PPAP packages, utilizes all applicable customer-specific systems, and is responsible for completion of all other customer-specific advance quality requirements. Additionally, the Advanced Quality Engineer develops appropriate inspection and containment plans for pre-launch builds.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience in quality engineering within automotive manufacturing. Experience with ISO/TS16949, continuous improvement, Total Quality Management, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, DOE, and SPC. Quality systems auditor training, preferred. Certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, preferred. Certification in Quality Engineering, preferred.
