Advanced Quality Engineer

Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international, tier-one automotive supplier. Due to their recent growth, they have opened an Advanced Quality Engineer.

What you will do: The Advanced Quality Engineer analyzes complex technical customer requirements, ensures they are implemented within the product engineering process (PEP), and ensures the implementation and application of quality tools and methods within the development process (incl. System Engineering, Mechanical Design, HW and SW). The role performs reviews, audits and assessments to ensure process compliance towards internal and external automotive standards and customer requirements, develops product and process qualification measures to secure lessons learned, and supports/tracks project teams during the development process. The position supports tailoring standard processes to project-specific processes, carries out effort estimations for quality related work packages and controlling of allocated budget, and prepares/updates quality planning documents for product and process development. Additionally, the Advanced Quality Engineer plans/carries out process and work product reviews on development projects containing HW/SW development and validating compliance on the entire system down to HW/SW and Mechanical Design, defines corrective actions for quality-related deviations in cooperation with the project team, monitoring their implementation, and identifies relevant quality issues to the adequate management level, while also managing customer quality interface.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience as a quality engineer within automotive manufacturing. Experience with electronics. Experience in quality development, project launches, controls plans, FMEA’s, PPAP, MSA (Measuring System Analysis). Ability to travel up to 30% in North America.
