Ann Arbor, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com    is working with a 100 year old company with a large footprint in the automotive tier-one space. Due to their growth, they have several newly created positions for an Advanced Quality Engineer.

What you will do: The Advanced Quality Engineer ensures that the quality of purchased components meets or exceeds requirements. The role performs audits of current and potential suppliers, reports findings and recommendations to management, and communicates requirements to suppliers for new components and engineering changes. The position reviews PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submissions, establishes quality standards with suppliers for purchased components, and facilitates technical reviews with suppliers for all new components, while also coordinating new component kick-offs with suppliers for purchased components. Additionally, the Advanced Quality Engineer tracks status of new part development and PPAP utilizing APQP, verifies supplier production processes and production rates, liaisons to suppliers regarding component quality issues during launch phase, and works with suppliers to counter-measure quality problems and encourage continuous improvement.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current quality assurance experience. Mid-range experience in the automotive manufacturing industry.
