Advanced Manufacturing Manager

Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a large manufacturer of automotive components to highlights candidates to fill their newly opened an Advanced Manufacturing Manager role.

What you will do: The Advanced Manufacturing Manager is responsible for developing equipment/technology standards, develops long-term equipment strategies to improve total cost of ownership including initial investment, maintenance, reconfiguration and redeployment, and identifies/evaluates new technologies to improve cost and efficiency. The role develops regional equipment cost reduction roadmaps, identifies, qualifies and develops new equipment suppliers, and drives process to evaluate supplier performance, provide feedback and improve execution. The position provides equipment cost estimating for new program quoting and strategic projects, supports equipment issue problem solving, and provides technical support for key launch activities, and provides technical support on key regional strategic projects and initiatives. Additionally, the Advanced Manufacturing Manager leads regional technical resources and identifies/addresses gaps in required technical skills.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current experience as a manufacturing manager. Strong experience in the automotive industry. Experience with seating products desired. Experience with mechanical machine design, equipment fabrication and installation cost estimating, machine guarding/safety standards, basic machine controls – PLCs, motors, VFDs, sensors, switches, etc., industrial networking – DeviceNet, I/O Link, Industrial Ethernet, shop floor execution systems – MOMS, MES, equipment specification, ordering, run-off, installation and qualification, and capital equipment budget planning/tracking.
