Plymouth, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a large manufacturer of automotive components to highlights candidates to fill their newly opened Advance Quality Engineer role.
What you will do: The Advance Quality Engineer defines the Past Problem History Roadmap and leads a cross-functional team ensuring applicable issues are closed before first customer part requirement. The role develops the prototype, pre-production and production control plans for the program, performs capability studies and documents the results for all program special characteristics ensuring that Customer and internal requirements are met, and develops the Measurement System Analysis Plan for the program. The position is responsible for ensuring variable and attribute Gage studies are conducted on all gauging and improving Gage R&R where data indicates need, while also providing implementation of the Manufacturing Quality Systems for the prototype, pre-production, and production builds. Additionally, the Advance Quality Engineer is responsible for color/appearance approval from pre-grain to PPAP and the preparation and on-time delivery of PPAP packages.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Experience with ISO/TS16949, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, and SPC. Quality systems auditor training is preferred. Advanced quality planning experience including familiarity with the AIAG Advanced Quality Planning and Control Plan standard, FMEA’s, PPAPs, Dimensional layouts, gage/fixture design, and Performance/Material testing. Certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt is desirable. Professional Certification in Quality Engineering is desirable.
