ADAS Systems Engineer

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com/jobs     is working a tier one supplier of automotive systems and due to the company’s recent growth, they have opened a position for a Systems Engineer – ADAS.

What you will do: The Systems Engineer – ADAS participates in strategic roadmap development for the group, establishes system architecture and design for ADAS systems including sensors, HMI, actuators and ECUs, and determines system requirements, current and future, for ADAS technologies. The role develops new ADAS designs and systems, provides leadership to suppliers and technical partners, and builds development platforms (e.g., vehicles) and collect/analyze performance data. The position supports the development of test instrumentation or support hardware for product development purposes as well for mass production, participates in customer meetings including business hunting and RFQ activities, demos, etc, and develops/documents functional and diagnostic requirements. Additionally, the Systems Engineer – ADAS creates/maintains functional and diagnostic test plans, participates in hardware and software design peer review activities, and creates/maintains program timing plans to meet project and customer deadlines.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science. Experience in multiple ADAS technologies (e.g., LDW (lane departure warning), ACC (adaptive cruise control), TSR (traffic sign recognition), AEB (automatic emergency braking), cameras / vision systems, RADAR, LIDAR, V2V (vehicle to vehicle communication), V2I (vehicle to infrastructure communication), etc.). Experience developing and launching control systems with embedded software. Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN). Familiarity with basic tools that apply to CAN networks. Knowledge of and understanding of automotive electronics manufacturing processes a plus.
