ADAS Director - Development

Southfield, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a manufacturer of new technologies for the automotive industry. Due to recent growth within the company, they are on the hunt for an ADAS Director.

What you will do: The ADAS Director establishes the ADAS Group, oversees and performs cutting-edge research of advanced control architecture, estimation, control analysis, and control algorithms, and focuses on autonomous and intelligent systems, data fusion and path-planning and vehicle motion trajectory optimization. The role oversees engineers involved in model-based design for guidance, navigation, and control, evaluates control architecture and selection, and provides control system analysis and design. The position supplies expertise in the use of Matlab/Simulink, control system analysis and design, guides ADAS engineers in conceptualizing, designing, analyzing, simulating, overseeing, and assessing complex performance, and provides detailed test and verification plans from the subsystem to vehicle level. Additionally, the ADAS Director helps facilitate the work of specialist engineers to develop integrated concepts.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Software, or Automotive/Aerospace engineering. Experience of ADAS feature development and delivery through all stages of the engineering development cycle. Knowledge of software engineering principles including model-based development. Experience in virtual test, component test and vehicle testing including proving ground environments. Experience utilizing Matlab and/or Simulink, C++, and dSpace; CAN, LIN and Camera technology. Experience in automotive networking, diagnostics and fault handling techniques, and related system development tools (CANalyzer, ASL, CANape, etc.). Experience working with or managing software development teams and/or 3rd party ECU suppliers for software coding and integration tasks. Ability to travel overseas up to 25%.
