Purchasing Manager

Phoenix, Arizona – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a large supplier in the automotive tier-one space. Due to their growth, they have several newly created positions for a Purchasing Manager.

What you will do: The Purchasing Manager is the purchasing/supply chain representative to the project team responsible for program launches within the assigned product-line and the role ensures on-time launch for programs and delivery at or below target cost, as well as working effectively with the project team to meet targets for quality, delivery and other cost areas. The position works with engineering, commodity managers, supplier development engineers, program managers, to ensure supplier performance and deliverables are met and to identify cost and timing issues and resolve them.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree. Current experience in a purchasing role. Prior experience leading teams, including cross-functional teams. Solid understanding of financials as they relate to program launch and demonstrated ability to gather, analyze financial data to formulate recommendations. Global experience highly preferred, especially AP and Mexico. Proven negotiation experience.
