Manufacturing Engineer - Continuous Improvement

Fort Wayne, Indiana – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Manufacturing Engineer in eastern Fort Wayne.

What you will do: The Manufacturing Engineer studies, estimates, quotes, evaluates, specifies and purchases capital equipment and tooling for new programs or modifications to existing programs to budget, while also interacting/directing vendors to provide equipment and tooling to our standards and performance expectations. The role launches equipment and tooling for production floor, supports on-going production throughout program cycle, develops/maintains time lines, and troubleshoots through root cause analysis, providing technical support. The position develops/maintains process documentation, assists with quality documentation, performs tolerance stack-ups, and implements cost reductions through process improvements. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for producing CAD drawings, maintaining plant layout for efficient product flow within equipment, and organizing drawing database.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Current experience in manufacturing engineering. Experience implementing continuous improvement. Experience in high volume steel processing/manufacturing is a plus. Experience in the automotive field is a plus. Knowledge of Solid Works CAD system.
