Quality Engineer - Industrial

Louisville, Kentucky – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international, industrial manufacturer currently on the hunt for a Quality Industrial Engineer, 30 minutes northwest of Louisville.

What you will do: The Quality Industrial Engineer leads/facilitates the implementation of site specific quality and cost savings (CIMS) initiatives and their continual improvements. The role creates a plan of action for cost savings around CNQ, productivity, launch, scrap, special freight, PPM reductions, etc., implements plan of action for cost savings and internal efficiencies by working closely with plant teams, and monitors/reviews key process activities and key actions to ensure progress. The position is responsible for and/or participates in Material Review Board (MRB) and Design Review Board, plans/implements inspection instruction sheets, assists inspectors, and completes internal problem solving reports. Additionally, the Quality Industrial Engineer trains/assists employees in the Management System, leads, coaches, and develops quality assurance team members, and participates in the layered audit process.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. ASQ quality engineering certificate. Current experience in quality industrial engineering. Proficiency in quality system development. Experience in automotive quality systems/technical specifications. Working knowledge of statistical techniques, data analysis and root cause tools. Six Sigma certification preferred.
