Warranty Engineer

Holly, Michigan – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with an international supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Warranty Engineer.

What you will do: The Warranty Engineer ensures that an in-depth failure analysis process to determine root cause, containment, corrective actions and customer response is being followed, while also monitoring, tracking, analyzing and reporting on warranty claim data in customer warranty systems and directly with customers on a regimented basis. The role tracks incoming warranty returned parts ensuring that customer response timing requirements are being met, assists in swift implementation of containment actions, and works with a team to generate problem solving reports. The position generates warranty presentations for management and customers to increase awareness, establish priorities and get buy-in on appropriate actions, interfaces with project management, engineering, and quality as required, ensuring warranty issues are being addressed, and provides/monitors analytical warranty data on regimented basis. Additionally, the Warranty Engineer participates in Business Unit design and manufacturing activities and participates in CIP (Continuous Improvement Processes) activities.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Knowledge of OEM warranty systems including, PRAS, EWT, WIS, GART, Part Link, PRTS with a strong knowledge in Ford Warranty systems, AWS. Current experience in warranty engineering within the tier-one automotive manufacturing industry.
