Powdered Metals Global Operations VP

Hempstead, New York – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a growing manufacturing client and due to this growth, they have opened a position for a VP of Global Operations.

What you will do: The VP of Global Operations leads strategic high impact Operational Change Management projects and cross-functional teams, develops global OE roadmaps ensuring sustainable short, mid and long-term cost savings, and drives continuous improvement projects jointly with regional Operations Heads. The role identifies good/best practice approaches globally, facilitates global rollout and knowledge sharing, and structures, plans, and prioritizes project execution based upon intended results/impact, ease of execution and availability of resources jointly with the regional Operations Heads. The role supports and manages local improvement projects with own OE expert resources, defines and rolls out global Lean and Six Sigma tools and practices, and establishes global Lean and Six Sigma training programs. Additionally, the VP of Global Operations partners with regional Operations Heads and respective Process Engineering teams, manages a small global team of OE and PM experts supporting the various initiatives, and monitors, measures, and reports the results and sustainability of the continuous improvement efforts regularly to the executive team and the organization.

What you will need: Master’s degree preferred in Engineering. Experience in the powder coatings industry. International experience in Operations Management combined with senior leadership roles in Process Engineering, Project Management, Change Management and Business Development. Proficient knowledge of state of the art powder manufacturing technologies. Proficient knowledge of Lean practices and Six Sigma methodologies ideally supported by a Six Sigma MBB certification level.
