Software Engineering Manager - ADAS

Livonia, Michigan  – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs     is working with a global, electronics company to identify a Software Engineering Manager – ADAS for a newly created role.

What you will do: The Software Engineering Manager- ADAS provides technical and project leadership for developing software, leads the continuous improvement of software quality and delivery, while also managing costs in a competitive business environment. The role leads the introduction and improvement of software process, tools, methods and skills/training plans, ensures adherence to the software process for core software development, and drives the creation and use of modular/reusable embedded software design, verification and documentation. The position provides mentoring and assistance to direct reports, leads the creation and management of software project schedules, risks and finances, and ensures coordination and tracking of joint application development work being performed by design centers and/or 3rd party contract developers and IP supplier. Additionally, the Software Engineering Manager – ADAS leads the improvement of technical and project planning/execution competency of the team and budgets, estimates, plans and tracks the cost related to software projects and department.

What you will need: BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Embedded software development and verification experience. Experience managing large (20+ engineers) global engineering teams. Automotive electronics embedded development and delivery experience. Knowledge/use of CMMI or Automotive SPICE process. Experience with automotive microcontrollers  i.e. Freescale, Infineon and Renesas. Knowledge of UML/SYSML and AUTOSAR methods/tools.
