Automotive EH&S Coordinator

Novi, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a supplier to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, the company has a newly created position for an EH&S Coordinator.

What you will do: The EH&S Coordinator provides HSE administrative and technical support to the HSE Manager and assists in fulfiling the functional HSE Coordinator responsibilities for the Novi Technical Center. The role supports the HSE Manager in activities, special projects and other administrative responsibilities necessary to promote and sustain standardization and alignment of HSE requirements, supports compliance to all applicable EBOS, Federal, state, local and other related HSE requirements, The position provides internal and external HSE audit support, supports maintenance and administration of plant audits, audit schedules, and other recordkeeping, and supports environmental compliance permitting, reporting, and recordkeeping activities and requirements. Additionally, the EH&S Coordinator provides  Workmen’s Compensation administrative and recordkeeping support, performs/documents task and equipment specific hazard and risk assessments, and focuses more so on safety than environmental aspects of the plant.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health and Environmental. Previous work experience in safety, health or environmental. Working knowledge and understanding of ISO 14001:2015 standards. Previous training and experience with performing management system internal audits. Working knowledge and understanding of state and federal EHS compliance requirements. Automotive related experience with robotic welding, metal stamping, tube bending, automated machining and assembly a plus. General understanding of waste streams requirements. Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
