Roanoke, Virginia – Movement Search and Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a world leader in the power generation and water/wastewater treatment industries. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Customer Support Field Engineer – Photovoltaic.
What you will do: The Customer Support Field Engineer provides specialized, solar inverter engineering expertise to support clients and field engineers. The role advises clients and company engineers to resolve issues, analyzes client equipment failures using remote diagnostics tools, and investigate suggested field changes, reporting problems and recommending solutions to parent company. The position corrects errors of deficiencies in hardware, software or system design, performs commissioning, installations, quality inspections, and performance testing of photovoltaic inverter systems, and obtains/schedules necessary resources, such as parts and client and field engineering availability, for field change implementation. Additionally, the Customer Support Field Engineer provides technical support to other Customer Support Engineers, writes and/or review field reports, and issues to clients as requested, while also processing warranty replacements and responding to client issues.
What you will need: Bachelor of science in engineering. Field engineering or customer support engineering experience in industrial control and drive systems. Strong knowledge of power conversion/VFDs. Photovoltaic Inverter power generation experience. Low voltage drive/controls engineering experience.
