Product Development Engineer - Electrical

Indianapolis, Indiana – Movement Search & Delivery  www.movementsearch.com/jobs     is working with a growing Tier One automotive supplier. Due to the company’s recent growth, they have newly opened position for a Product Development Engineer.

What you will do: The Product Development Engineer supports new design development and packaging study with product engineer, conduct design feasibility/manufacturability investigation with the supplier base. The role conducts product benchmark analysis, is responsible for following Presta Product Life Cycle process, and organizes BOM for prototype build, supervise RFQ process, and conduct (or supervise) prototype build. The position develops test plans, defines the test equipment requirements and generates test work instructions, while also summarizing tests/FEA/Stack-up/etc results into presentation. Additionally, the Product Development Engineer understands warranty issues, reviews/generates tolerance stack-up, and reports project status to the Product Engineers.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Experience in the automotive industry. Experience in product development. Experience using DOE, FEA, Statistics, problem-solving tools, APQP, FMEA, Poka Yoke Design/Design for manufacturability, and AIAG automotive standards.
