Electronics Testing Engineer

Auburn Hills, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a tier-one supplier for the automotive manufacturing industry. Due to this recent growth, they have opened a position for an Embedded Systems Test Engineer.

What you will do: The Embedded Systems Test Engineer performs independent test and validation (IT&V) of automotive embedded systems, while also maintaining, monitoring, and auditing compliance to automotive software projects including responsibility for requirements management. The role develops functional test plans (FTP) on embedded systems projects, plans/builds the test environment, and executes the FTP. The position plans/executes other electronics and software tests as required, leads the requirements management on embedded systems projects, and executes the software quality audit (SQA) function for the customer project. Additionally, Embedded Systems Test Engineer develops/implements process improvement items for Automotive SPICE, the process model for assessing automotive software.

What you will need: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably in electrical/electronics or computer science. Experience in electronics/software design, testing or in a related field with a preference in automotive embedded systems. Proficiency with electronics and software testing tools. Understanding of Automotive SPICE standards and their practical applications. Proficiency with an Application Lifecycle Management tool is preferred.
