Sterling Heights, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com/jobs is working with a leading supplier of electronic components to the automotive industry. Due to their growth, they have a newly created Project Manager.
What you will do: The Project Manager leads all engineering team activities from nomination through launch while analyzing/resolving issues risks and create interim and permanent countermeasures to prevent the same issues from reoccurring, and reports issues and risks to management in a timely manner to prevent larger issues. The role manages/coordinates engineering changes with the design engineering center and manufacturing facility, communicates key timing for engineering changes to the North American and European sales offices, and serves as the lead and primary interface for customer audits/visits including the coordination of the event and preparation of materials/documentation needed to secure customer approval. The position supports quality groups by pursuing/monitoring any remaining open items from customer audits, processes all internal and customer engineering changes through company systems, and generates/maintains lesson learned documents based on internal and customer feedback. Additional responsibilities of the Project Manager include generating/maintaining customer timing plans, maintaining/fostering good business relationships with all key contacts at customer and other members of the global business team, proposing significant improvements within his/her function to improve the efficiency of the department.
What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Current engineering experience. PMP Certification.Experience with automation equipment.
