Electrical Engineer

Ann Arbor, Michigan – Movement Search and Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a national manufacturer of electric components that supplies to a multitude of industries. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for an Electrical Engineer.

What you will do: The Electrical Engineer researches, develops, designs and tests electrical components, equipment and systems applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering. The position supports operations with new product designs while making proposals and/or improvements to existing products for cost efficiency, reliability and safety, prepares component and sub system level DFMEA documents, and provides status updates on project activities and progress. The role analyzes warranty return issues and implements necessary design changes in coordination with customers, completes electrical studies and documents RFQ activities, and is responsible for equipment design and development, testing of materials, and preparation of specifications. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer assists in interfacing with customer and internal engineering teams to define requirements and specifications.

What you will need: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Current experience in electronics engineering within the tier-one automotive industry. Deep knowledge of variable switching frequency controls using-IGBT’s. Experience with medium to high volume DFT and DFM. Knowledge of PCB layout placement strategy, plane definition and EMC optimization. Experience with EMC, EMS and EMI testing and reporting. Experience with automotive industry reliability and safety standards. Experience with Japanese business practice, culture and language.
