Capital Equipment Business Development Manager

Roanoke, Virginia – Movement Search and Delivery  www.movementsearch.com/jobs   is working with a world leader in the power generation and water/wastewater treatment industries. Due to their recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Business Development Manager.

What you will do: The Business Development Manager designs, develops, implements and manages the internal and external business development strategy, determines key wants and needs of the existing industries, markets, market segments, and monitors industry and macro-economic trends to assess how these factors might change on a rolling 5-year time horizon. The position ensures alignment between MRS and Engineering specification for product/upgrade development, ensures new products and upgrades meet client needs at beta sites, and explores new areas of potential business/industries. The role develops relationships with a network of purchase influencers, develops/implements strategies to increase internal and external awareness, and determines the budget and business resources required for advertising, sales and marketing collateral, trade shows, technical seminars, and related material and activities. Additionally, the Business Development Manager develops relationships within a network of internal, domestic and global company contacts, plans/executes projects to aid in improvment and growth, and ensures effective utilization of business tools and processes.

What you will need: Bachelor’s degree. Current experience in business development. Experience with power electronics or other capital equipment in any combination of the oil and gas, metals, mining, material handling, renewable energy systems, paper, or related general industries. Commercial experience leading remotely located professionals to accomplish business goals.
