Quality Manager - Manufacturing

Kalamazoo, Michigan – Movement Search & Delivery   www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with an industry leading manufacturing client that has been in business for over 100 years. Due to their growth, they have a newly opened position for a Quality Manager.

What you will do: The Quality Manager is responsible for supporting the safe accomplishment of all activities, for the management of all product and material quality functions and for the direction and supervision of the personnel assigned to the Quality Department. The role is also responsible for monitoring and assuring customer satisfaction, maintenance of the SAP database inputs for quality, accurate reporting of all information, and ensuring that all processes and procedures performed either meet or exceed internal Division standards as well as all established customer requirements and specifications. The position maintains detailed situational awareness for all quality issues and corrective actions, ensures all products manufactured in the facility meet or exceed customer requirements, and ensures that all material standards are within specification and acceptance criteria. Additionally, the Quality Manager ensures that all procedures and protocols are followed and ensures that supplies and equipment are ordered in a timely manner to prevent outages.

What you will need: Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. Current experience in quality management. Formal Quality Systems Training or clear understanding of Quality Assurance Principles. Experience using automated inventory management software (SAP, ERP, JDE, ORACLE etc.). Experience managing up to 20 technicians. Experience with pulp/paper is a plus.
