Raleigh, North Carolina – Movement Search & Delivery    www.movementsearch.com/jobs    is working with a national company that provides energy technologies and services to electric utilities and their large industrial, commercial, institutional and municipal customers. Due to recent growth, the company has opened a position for a Design Engineer just west of downtown Raleigh.

What you will do: The Design Engineer performs application design review – powers system design performance modeling. The role reviews design functionality and engineering BOMs for manufacturing, while also working closely with internal engineering and manufacturing leads to ensure project understanding. The position generates and distributes requests for quotation and invitation to bid to 3rd party contractor/vendors, assists in the development of project charters and scope statements, and provides technical support to operations relating to design intent scope, cost control and production control. Additionally, the Design Engineer interfaces with engineering, manufacturing and project managers regarding project requirements and project progress.

What you will need: Electrical Engineering Degree. Current experience as a design engineer. Experience in field OR pre-construction design of electrical systems/infrastructure.  Turnkey electrical solutions in micro grid, switchgear, power generation, power transmission and other critical infrastructure needs experience.
